The School of Furniture

Thank you for your interest in my courses. The Teaching is conducted by myself - Alexander O'Neil, Master Cabinet Maker.

I aim to teach the basic craft of woodwork and antique restoration in a practical, clear and enjoyable manner. My school room is a well equipped workshop which can comfortably cater for up to seven people in one class. I have specifically designed my course so that I can accommodate all levels of ability in order that each individual is able to learn and progress at their own speed. The classes cover joint making, maintenance of tools, furniture restoration, French Polishing, colouring and of course furniture making. I am always flexible and happy to discuss particular ideas
